New UKGC Casinos April 2026: Betty and Stakewise

Two operators received remote casino release dates in April 2026. Betty Gaming (Malta) Limited (account 100695) started on 1 April, and Rocbrook Limited (account 100802), the company behind Stakewise, followed on 13 April. Checked against the UKGC register in September 2026.

They could hardly be less alike. Betty is a slots-only mobile casino that built its name in Ontario and holds casino plus linked gambling software permissions, with no betting at all. Stakewise is a new sportsbook with a casino tab, licensed for remote casino, real-event betting and virtual-event betting.

Both waited roughly two months before opening. Betty went live for UK players at the start of June 2026, and Stakewise launched on 22 June 2026.

Betty is the headline name of April. It took its first bet in Ontario in February 2023 after an AGCO licence the previous month, and the UK is its first market outside Canada. Co-founder and group chief executive Justin Park has built the brand around one idea: passive slot players, a group he says splits roughly evenly between men and women, an audience he sees as underserved by sports-led operators.

The UK site is playbetty.co.uk, and betty.com forwards there for British visitors. Both domains sit on the licence held by Betty Gaming (Malta) Limited, registered at Quantum House, Ta' Xbiex, Malta. The UK business is led by chief executive Adele Baker, with technology run by CTO Zhasmina Draganova, who previously worked at Bede Gaming and has been with Betty since 2022.

Betty runs its own in-house platform rather than a white label, which is why its licence includes a linked gambling software permission. Independent testing in 2026 counted more than 2,800 slots but no table games and no live dealer section. Payments were debit card only, with a £1 minimum deposit and a test withdrawal that landed in about two hours.

Early player feedback is mixed but mostly positive. The playbetty.co.uk Trustpilot page showed 4.0 out of 5 from 89 reviews when we checked, with fast withdrawals and helpful verification support praised, and complaints focused on game returns and occasional crashes.

Stakewise trades at stakewise.co.uk, the single domain on its licence. The operator, Rocbrook Limited, gives a Newcastle upon Tyne head office on the register and was incorporated at Companies House on 3 December 2025, just over four months before its licence started. One individual holds 75% or more of the shares.

The technology is rented. Stakewise runs on Swifty Global's sportsbook and casino software, the same platform behind Swifty Sports and Tiger Bet; when we compared the Stakewise and Tiger Bet websites, they shared the same underlying build. Those are separately licensed businesses, so Stakewise has no sister sites under its own licence.

Reviewers counted around 896 casino games, including roughly 608 slots and 246 live casino tables, with Pragmatic Play among the suppliers. Payments are Visa and Mastercard debit cards only, with £5 minimums for deposits and withdrawals and no fees. One tester's withdrawal arrived in six hours; the site quotes one to three days.

Support is live chat and email, with no phone line. Identity checks are handled by Sumsub, so expect to photograph your ID, take a selfie and upload proof of address when asked.

April matched the typical month with two new remote casino release dates. The year so far:

That makes 14 operators by the end of August, with June the busiest month. April's pair stand out for going live on schedule: both opened within about ten weeks, whereas May's Silkbet was still not public four months after its licence.

The timing is also brave. Remote Gaming Duty on online casino profits rose from 21% to 40% in April 2026, the same month both licences started. Betty, whose entire UK product is slots, is effectively testing whether a lean, in-house operator can make that maths work.

• Use the right address. For Betty in Britain that is playbetty.co.uk (or betty.com, which forwards there). For Stakewise it is stakewise.co.uk. Both are listed on the Betty register entry and Rocbrook register entry.
• Check the footer names Betty Gaming (Malta) Limited or Rocbrook Limited. A different company name means a different site.
• Have a debit card ready. Neither brand listed e-wallets, PayPal or crypto in 2026 testing.
• Expect ID checks before your first withdrawal, and do them early so a win is not held up.
• Set deposit limits on day one. Gambling is paid entertainment, so decide what you can afford to lose before you play and stop there.

Betty's Canadian site, betty.ca, is regulated in Ontario by the AGCO and iGaming Ontario, not by the UK Gambling Commission. Its games, offers and terms are not the UK product, so British players should stick to playbetty.co.uk.

Stakewise shares its name with StakeWise, an Ethereum liquid staking protocol at stakewise.io. The two have nothing to do with each other; the UK betting site is stakewise.co.uk only, and it takes pounds by debit card, not crypto.
