New UKGC Casinos January 2026: Dabble Adds a Casino

The year opened with one new remote casino release date: Dabble, the Australian social betting app, bolting a casino onto its UK sportsbook. Here is what changed, who owns it and what to watch.

January 2026 in brief: one licence, and it went to Dabble

Only one operator received a new remote casino release date in January 2026: Dabble Sports UK Ltd, account 65677, on 22 January. It picked up virtual-event betting on the same day, adding both to the real-event betting permission it has held since 3 April 2025. Checked against the UKGC register in September 2026.

So this was not a new brand arriving. Dabble has taken sports bets from UK customers since June 2025. January 2026 is the moment it gained the right to run a casino, and that makes it the first sportsbook-to-casino expansion of the year.

The registered domains are dabble.co.uk and dabble.uk, with dabble.uk forwarding to dabble.co.uk, and the company gives a Leeds head office at Platform, New Station Street.

Every other 2026 launch is listed on New UKGC Casinos 2026.

What the Dabble casino actually is

The casino did not appear overnight. In early February 2026, reports noted the permission was active but the app was still sportsbook-only. It has since gone live: the Android app, now titled "Dabble: Sports Betting & Casino", says the casino is available to all customers.

The lobby covers the full set: slots, table games, live dealer and game shows. Dabble names Big Bass, Gates of Olympus and Dead or Alive among its slots, Crazy Time and Lightning Roulette among its live titles, and its own Dabble Originals range, starting with Rocket Riders, a crash game where you bet on how far the Dabble rocket travels and cash out before it crashes. The most recent app update added more live dealer and arcade games.

It is an app-first product. The UK Android app has passed 100,000 downloads with a 4.5-star rating from around 1,100 reviews, and payments tested by reviewers include Visa and Mastercard debit, Apple Pay and instant bank transfer.

Dabble holds the operating licence itself rather than sitting on someone else's white label, so any complaint goes to Dabble Sports UK Ltd directly.

Who is behind Dabble?

Dabble started in Darwin, Australia, in 2020 and grew quickly on the back of its social features. By April 2022 it was the second most downloaded sports betting app in Australia. Britain is its third market after Australia and the United States.

The chief executive is Tom Rundle, a former CrownBet and PointsBet executive. In October 2022 Tabcorp, the Australian wagering giant, paid A$33 million for a 20% stake, valuing Dabble at around A$165 million.

The UK arm, Dabble Sports UK Ltd, is run from Leeds. Its horse racing content uses BetMakers' Price Manager and Racelab ProFORM tools, and its UK launch marketing featured former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan.

Copy bets and banter: the social side, and the catch

Dabble's selling point is that betting happens in public. You can follow other punters, copy their bets with a tap, chat in Banter channels and climb leaderboards. None of that exists at a typical casino, and it is the main reason people pick Dabble over a standard bookmaker.

The app is built around a real-time feed of your mates' bets, plus a For You feed of trending punts from users you do not follow yet. It has also added Pick 'Em, a simplified bet type for NBA and NFL. The welcome offer listed in the app is sports-only: bet £10 and get £10 in free bets on your first deposit.

It cuts both ways. Dabble even pays 10p through its Copy Cash feature each time someone copies your bet, which rewards posting bets as much as picking good ones. Copying someone else's bet is still your money on the line, and leaderboards reward volume and bravado rather than sensible staking. With a casino now one tap from the sportsbook, it is easier to drift from a planned acca into slots or Crazy Time.

If you use Dabble, set deposit limits and time reminders before you start following tipsters, and treat everything you stake as the price of entertainment.

January against the rest of 2026

January was one of the three quietest months of the year. The full picture so far:

  • January: 1 (Dabble)
  • February: 2 (Horizons Casino, Hippodrome Casino)
  • March: 1 (royalol.co.uk)
  • April: 2 (Betty, Stakewise)
  • May: 2 (Silkbet, proper.bet)
  • June: 3 (Bigbangbet, Brillbet, DC Bet)
  • July: 2 (lottofy.co.uk, rambobet.co.uk)
  • August: 1 (Midnite)

Of the 14 operators so far, Dabble is one of the few that already had a working UK product when its casino licence started. Most of the spring and summer entrants were start-ups that took months to open, such as May's Silkbet and Proper Bet. Dabble's timing was also pointed: Remote Gaming Duty on online casino profits rose from 21% to 40% in April 2026, barely ten weeks after its licence began.

Checks before you play at Dabble casino

  • Download the app from the official App Store or Google Play listing, or use dabble.co.uk. Both domains are on the Dabble register entry.
  • Check the operator named in the app and footer is Dabble Sports UK Ltd.
  • Read the casino bonus terms separately from the sportsbook offer, since free bets and casino promotions come with different rules.
  • Complete ID checks early so a withdrawal is not held up later.
  • Set deposit limits before you start copying other people's bets.

Just one. Dabble Sports UK Ltd received a UKGC remote casino permission on 22 January 2026, plus virtual-event betting, adding to the sports betting licence it has held since April 2025. Dabble was already a live UK sportsbook, so January brought a new casino product from an existing brand rather than a new site.

Does Dabble have a casino in the UK?

Yes. After its remote casino permission started on 22 January 2026, Dabble added a casino to its app, which it says is now available to all UK customers. It includes slots such as Gates of Olympus and Big Bass, live games such as Crazy Time and Lightning Roulette, and its first in-house game, the crash title Rocket Riders.

Is Dabble legit and licensed in the UK?

Yes. Dabble Sports UK Ltd holds active UKGC permissions for remote casino, real-event betting and virtual-event betting under account 65677, with dabble.co.uk and dabble.uk as its registered domains and no regulatory action on record. The company is based in Leeds and has taken UK bets since June 2025.

Who owns Dabble?

Dabble is an Australian company founded in Darwin in 2020 and led by chief executive Tom Rundle. Tabcorp, the Australian wagering group, bought a 20% stake for A$33 million in October 2022. In Britain the app is operated by its UK subsidiary, Dabble Sports UK Ltd, from offices in Leeds.

Is Dabble a new betting site?

Fairly new. Dabble launched its UK sportsbook in June 2025 after receiving its betting licence in April that year, so it has more than a year of UK history. The casino is the newer part, licensed from 22 January 2026 and switched on later in the year.
